Fitchburg Brass Railroad Lock

1870´s Fitchburg Railroad lock made by Romer & Co Newark NJ. Lock is marked with full spelling for Fitchburg with RR below. Nice deep stamping. The lock comes with unmarked key that works lock. On the bad side as I´m sure everyone is wondering why the price is so cheap. The dust cover spring is broken and the lock was repaired sometime in the past but as you can see from the side pictures the body in tight and shows no sign of being pried apart. The Fitchburg operated from 1843-1900. Over all very nice lock that displays nicely.
